P4: Incorporate visual effect ideas into the production plan

The client brief has explicitly stated that we must include 3 visual effects and 1 special effect in our production.


Special Effects
The special effect we intend to include is a scale model, we intend to achieve this by creating a spaceship out of reusable material and filming it. 




Visual Effects
1. We intend to incorporate Matte painting as our first visual effect, it will look like a space background, which our scale model will fly around in, as we physically cannot go to space to film our spaceship.




2.  Another visual effect we intend on using is a green screen, this is what we will use to film our scale model in front of and through editing we will key out the background and use a matte painting background. 






3. A final visual effect we intend on using are graphic effects, which will be used for the credits in our title sequence. 






 With my visual effects I believe that it would be believable this is because I will composite some my effects together. I will be recording my special effect scale model against a green screen, once we have recorded the footage I will then key it out and combine the special effect scale model with the matt painting, and add effects to it to make it look believable and real to the audience. On the last shot, we planned to have the scale model 'fly' in to the screen from left to right and as this is done, the name of our TV show will appear, this will be done with graphic effects and we plan to composite this as well in order for it to work well.
